A Beautiful Sports moment

When the goodness of Mankind sparkles…

Today being May Day, which forever will conjure up images of Ayrton Senna, Roland Ratzenberger and Black Sunday…

F1: Remembering Roland Ratzenberger - 25 Years later

May Day also signifies the beginning of summer, International Worker’s Day or Labour Day, not to mention that ominous distress signal…

Being a day to recognize our “Tired, Poor, Huddled” Brothers and Sisters who toil relentlessly doing the jobs nobody wishes to do.

As I was truly moved by this demonstration of Brotherly Love! As perhaps you’ve heard of the two selfless runners in this year’s Boston Marathon?

Having only used the word Mankind since the story involves three male runners, with American Ajay Haridasse had fallen for the fourth time at the 26-mile mark.

As the 21 year old Massachusetts University student was gathering strength to crawl on hands and knees the final two-tenths mile distance. Aaron Beggs, a 40 year old Northern Ireland runner stopped on His left side and pulled Haridasse to His feet. Then when Ajay stumbled again, a second runner, Robson De Oliveira, a 36 year old Brazilian caught Him from behind!

Beggs and De Oliveira then put Haridasse arms upon each of their shoulders, and the trio triumphantly ran the remaining distance and crossed the finish line together!

When Two is Better than One: Pair of Boston Marathon runners help struggling Runner

Making me wounder out loud rhetorically, why can’t our Government show the same compassion and Humanity to the rest of the world?

Truncated 2026 Sebring 12 Hours Postscript

Everyone remembers this March’s 12 Hours of Sebring, Righto?

Have I mentioned lately how Mucho I’m having a hard time getting my Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) to rev-up over motor racing lately Y’all? Or seemingly stuck in second gear? Even if Y’all are quivering with Month ‘O May excitement…

Is there something going on in Indiana this month, eh?

While at least I don’t have to lament over the fact of the entire 12 Hours of Sebring being shown only behind Peacock’s Paywall, WTF! A la Formula 1 gong behind Apple TV’s curtain, err Paywall, meaning half of my motor racing series have gone “Dark!” Since I no longer have television, but I digress…

Tuned in via IMSA Radio somewhere during High Noon, (Pacific) with some seven hours remaining. Although I flitted about during this duration…

And its sad when the most poignant part of the entire 12 Hours race was the great story John Hindhaugh waxed poetically upon…

Yes, I understand there’s good, bad and mediocre race officials, which obviously applies to all walks of life. But I found the following yarn extraordinary.

Hindhaugh recounted about what I believe was the 1999 Petit Le Mans race? And one unnamed pit crew was limbering up for an impending pit stop.

The race official was none other than the top overseer of the entire pitlane, and spotting one crew member with His visor still up before the team’s car lumbered to a stop. Went over and slapped the members helmet and whack! The visor slid shut, the team made their pitstop and the car raced off.

The chief mechanic having observed what happened, came over and inquired if they were going to receive a penalty? To which the official said, I’m not here to give out penalties, I’m here to make sure you’re being safe! And I bet that won’t happen again!

With Hindhaugh saying that the official was Dick Martin and as I listened to this wonderful story, tears began streaming down my face. Due to Martin’s display of humanity. Which we, as a nation are sorely lacking right now. Brandishing our version of the Good, Bad and Ugly!

I must also say my mind began wondering about if we’ll have another Arab Oil Embargo, which I was just a Wee lad when that occurred. Due to the starvation of crude oil slipping thru the Straight of Hormuz. And how will the Iran War impact motor racing in general? Since it seems to only be worsening; as somebody pass me the raw, bloody meat…

Tend to recall somewhere within five hours remaining. One of the announcers mused over how Renger van der Zande said the Porsche’s were just playing with everybody! Which turned out to be prophetic.

Didn’t catch what happened to cause the two leading Porsche Penske Motorsport Porsche 963’s swap positions. With Felipe Nasr in the No. 7 basically pulling over on the straight to allow Keven Estre’s No. 6 by.

Yet I marveled over Nasr’s bravado. Telling the team over the in-car radio He’d pull over before asking if they were cleared to race each other? Saying He’d pull over but they’ll lose the race if He stays second!

As think it was the No. 31 Whelen Cadd-Oh-lac’ breathin’ down the Penske’s backsides? Before Nasr was given the Ok and swiftly repassed Estre to lead them  home to a 1-2 sweep. On the very same day that El Capitano’, nee roger Penske was serving as the race’s Grand Marshall.

Initially Ricky Taylor in the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac v-Series.R claimed the third podium spot. But was DSQ’ed (Disqualified) following a post-race tech inspection violation. Elevating the No. 31 Whelen to third.

The win was Porsche’s 20th overall victory at Sebring. With the two Penske Porsches running special red, white and blue Mobil 1 tribute liveries. Commemorating 30 years of Porsche and Mobil 1’s partnership, dating back to the 1996 Porsche GT1 running Mobil 1 livery at Circuit de la Sarthe.

Whilst its also Team Penske’s 60th anniversary of racing, and Porsche’s 75th anniversary of Motorsports. Making it ironic that Porsche won’t be competing in Hypercar this June at Le Mans…

In LMP2, Zakery Brown and Richard Dean’s United Autosport claimed a 1-2 finish, with Nikkel Jensen, Phil Fayer and former IndyCar, Indy Lights and current ECR IndyCar reserve driver Hunter McElrea coming out on top in the No. 2. With the Seester’ No. 22 second, and the No. 8 Tower Motorsports third.

Porsche claimed a “Double” 1-2 finish with the Manthey Racing No. 911 leading AO Racing’s Roxy’, the prehistoric pink Dinosaur No. 77 pair of Porsche 911 GT3 R’s across the stripe in GTD Pro. Being Manthey’s breakthrough victory at Sebring.

Yet it was the GTD Class that featured the most drama and eventful outcome. As AF Corse’s Antonio Fuoco suffered three Drive-thru penalties for various violations, i.e.; avoidable contact, too many crew members over the wall and a second collision on-track!

Yet despite Fuoco’s transgressions. Before working His way back up to second place again. Running some scant 1.1 seconds with eight minutes remaining behind Heart Of Racing’s Tom Gamble in the No. 27 Aston Martin Vantage. Gamble made a slight bobble on the final lap and Fuoco pounced, giving the No. 21 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo the victory…

Stop the Hating!

Will we ever progress our behaviour as Humans. Or just continue being Neanderthals?

Had been planning on scribblin’ about this sometime early this season, after last years dearth of irreprehensible behaviour! But thanks to Daniel Dye, it came front ‘n center no less then upon St Patrick’s Day.

As I thoroughly applaud NASCAR and Kaulig Racing’s swift decision to suspend Dye indefinitely! For making a grotesque comment towards David Malukas, over the “Desert Double” NASCAR-IndyCar weekend at Phoenix Raceway.

As Craftsman Truck Series driver Daniel Dye was rightly suspended indefinitely for His mocking of Team Penske driver David Malukas when opening trading cards. Making His voice a much higher pitch and smearing Malukas’s sexuality. Calling Him you know what!

This follows on the heels of last year’s irreprehensible behaviour towards Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Jack Doohan. Not to mention Zak Brown’s really bad and inexcusable joke regarding His wife!

Antonelli received Death Threats after Max Verstappen’s engineer Gianpiero Lambiase inferred the rookie Italian driver had let Lando Norris pass Him at the end of the Qatar Grand Prix in order to insure a Mercedes powered driver won the Formula 1 World Championship, Balderdash!

Of course Lambiase’s cryptic comment “Looks like He just pulled over and let Lando thru”, with one lap remaining was preposterous! Before Helmut Marco joined the fray. Pronouncing that Antonelli had let McLaren drivers by twice in the race, including Oscar Piastri earlier…

Naturally, this was complete rubbish! As Antonelli simply made a mistake and slid wide under the pressure of trying to secure a podium position and hold off Norris for fourth place.

Yes, I was disappointed over the extra two points Norris garnered, which eventually led to His securing His drivers title. But I never thought Kimi had done that on purpose.

Lambiase and Red Bull subsequently issues public apologies regarding this accusation, but the damage had been done!

Next, former Alpine F1 driver Jack Doohan joined Antonelli in blocking His social media account in December, after receiving vulgar harassment by “vile Trolls”. Following the Aussie’s three nearly identical crashes at Degner corner over three successive days testing a Super formula car at Suzuka.

Then there was Zak Brown’s bizarre speech at the McLaren team’s end of season meeting, where He told a really bad joke about His wife Tracy, when thanking family.

“We've been married 26 years, see the black eye? Like I said, we've been married 26 years,' Brown said.

‘No, I am joking, the dog hit her this morning.”

Reportedly Oscar Piastri couldn’t stomach the Domestic Violence joke and simply staired down at His feet as the smile left His face!

Not to mention the Aussie’ was firmly in Brown’s crosshairs during His bizarre rant…

And this doesn’t even include the vulgar abuse Callum Ilott was forced to endure not once, but twice when driving for Juncos Hollinger Racing.

As the team, specifically Ricardo Juncos and Agustin Canapino did little to quell the social media abuse seemingly the Argentine Fan base directed towards Ilott!

Then just learning that Esteban Ocon suffered a similar fate after His collision with Franco Colapinto during the Chinese Grand Prix.

Although Ocon fully took responsibility for the crash, and Colapinto raced to a tenth place finish. (scoring one point) Argentinians once again took to torching Ocon on social Media, including Death Threats!

While somehow I suspect that none of Ollie Bearman’s Fans will be attacking Franco Colapinto for causing the Haas driver’s massive shunt at suzuka when His Alpine began “Harvesting” in the corner.

While don’t forget about Kyle Larson and Juri Vips past transgressions…

Like the immortal Rodney King said: “Can’t we just All get along?”

Canamax goes Flush on both sides of Ye Puddle

“Said get back Honky Cat! Yuhs Redneck, trying to drink Whiskey from a bottle of Wine!”

VIDEO: Honky Cat

At the Canamax World HQ’ in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, the phones were rigging off the hook. One moment please Mr. Duncan. Mr. Winchester, Gerrard Duncan’s on line three.

Good news Preston, the High court has ruled in our favour against that scoundrel Truxbury. Although not entirely in our favour…

As Lord Dennis ruled that Jonathan Truxbury was in breech of contract and awarded us $22m Australian pounds. But said the losses of $65m Australian pounds over Formula Libre loss of revenue is irrelevant due to our hiring of multiple drivers to fill our vacated race seat.

AS I thought I told you to delete those Sparto-Cuss messages of promising JT’ (Truxbury) a chance to be a Formula Libre reserve driver. You do know that Elroid’s Geeks can read your encrypted Sparto-Cuss account…

Therefore Preston, the Nabisco account portion of the losses will have to be written off as a business expense, but we’ve won the case overall, and Truxbury’s ruined!

Mr. Winchester, Mr. Lovett’s on line one. Yes Mr. Lovett. Congratulations on winning your lawsuit Preston. I’d like to see you in my office in Detroit please…

Audrey, I’ll be out of the office a few days, I’m going to Detroit to see Mr. Lovett. And then I’ll swing over to Brownsburg to check-in with Hugo (Marques) and the Armani Canamax Boyz. Before we fly down to Fort Lauderdale for the Champ Car season opener.

Hon, Julian. Does this suit make me look fat? As Russell Lovett’s summoned me to His Detroit office. What’s that? Wear the paisley coloured Armani suit, thanks Jil’.

Russell Lovett was in His  mid-70’s with snow white hair, inquisitive azure blue eyes and a neatly trimmed goatee. He was the proprietor of a vast business empire for which many called Him the Commodore for His firm grasp of business. And His Lovett Industries owned the Champ Car series amongst other holdings…

Sit down Preston, thanks for coming. Now I know you won your drawn-out lawsuit and you really wish to break JT’. But I think it’s a bad “Optic” for our sport.

I’ve already spoken to Chester Betuzi and Jonathan Truxbury. And Chester says He’ll pay you one million British Sterling for each year of your squabble. And that He’ll garnish Truxbury’s wages until the amount’s paid off in full to you. Do we have a deal Preston? As I’ve already scheduled the conciliatory press releases to be sent out the morning of the Fort Lauderdale season opener…

Armani Canamax’s lead Champ Car driver Adrian Ozwaldo, Nicolas Brenner and Brian Boxer had a fairly typical outing in Fort Lauderdale. With the Finn Brenner finishing on the podium ahead of Argentine Ozwaldo. While Boxer languished down in 23rd once again. Yet it was that G-Damn Truxbury winning by a country mile and making the whole Champ Car field look silly!

Billy Jo Bradshaw and His wife Bianca had flown to Jolly ‘Ol London to meet with King Henry and His latest wife Veronica. Although Bianca found it very cold in the Castle, and Billy Jo wasn’t impressed with the dark tapestries…

Thus they decided upon a last minute visit to Winfred’s estate in nearby Tolkenshire. As Winferd had been boasting about some contraption he uses every morning to help Him feel invigorated.

As Preston was showing off His Cryogenic Chamber, saying just 15 seconds in the morning and I’m invigorated the entire day. Never feeling sleepy or nodding off during meetings…

Upstairs, Bianca was asking Jillian how She got that black eye? Oh, I tripped on our dog Lilly. And when Bianca told Billy Joe, He said well just let me have Christina (Nomeski) drop by and She’ll take care of your dog for you. Christina Hates Dogs…

Next, the Winchester’s gave the Bradshaw’s a guided tour of the Canamax Technology Centre, where Billy Joe was more interested in the platters of Nutter Butter and triple fudge stuffed Oreo cookies in the canteen, than the various racecars on display. Before the Bradshaw’s had to “Jet” off back to the Everglades.

Audrey, tell Roscoe Snow to contact His Dad and have Him meet me at the usual place. Yeah, I know, we really should put Cletus on the payroll…

Hello Snowman, yeah we’re starting to become regulars here. Yes, I already ordered Hushpuppies to go for Butch.

I need you to go to Weehawken again. Usual arrangement, the white Cascadia sleeper cab will be awaiting you. As I need you to deliver a truckload of our Aqua tyre minerale to Miami International Airport.

Just ask Security, they’ll know what to do. Its for a friends plane. As the Bhermodians gave Him one of their Comet 480 Double Decker Jets. But the Florida marsh water has gunked up all of the gold faucets.

Then back up to Weehawken to pick-up a double trailer load of Nabisco products. Yeah, we’re still trying to get rid of them!

The first lady had decided to hold the annual Easter Eg hunt on the Palace’s front lawn. Nah, it doesn’t matter if they’re past their sell-by dates, they’re for the children…

But take your time, as may be you should drop by your relatives in Bucksnort. As they’re having a royal problem with infestations! Even though they built a fence around the garden. Those pesky Armilla Stencha Bugitoes are just getting in everywhere. So they’re having a few Helicopters fumigate the lawn.

Yeah, your son Roscoe’s bringing up one of our older Champ Cars, along with a Formula Libre Showcar and last year’s winning Thundrdome V8 Outback series championship winner. As Billy Joe’s a real fan of old fashion pushrod V-8 technology.

Hugo, I need you to come up to the Potomac in Maryland and 1200 Chattanooga Avenue, and bring all of our current racing drivers.

Yes, pick-up (Canamax Formula Libre drivers) Charlie (Little) and Harry (Pastorini) at La Guardia, the limousine will be waiting for you. As the Bradshaw’s want to meet the drivers and have them pass out Easter “goodies” to the children allowed to attend Sunday’s car show on the Palace’s lawn.

Your Highness, perhaps you remember shaking Charlie Little’s hand last year during the Miami Grand Prix? Yes, you brought Him good luck, as He won the drivers title. And this is our second driver Harry Pastorini, He’s from Alice Springs. No, its in Australia, its Sheep country…

What’s that Billy Joe? You’re not a fan of the new 50% pure lithium ion Energizer Bunny racecars we’re using this year? Oh, I didn’t know you followed motor racing…

What’s that? You’ve had the gardeners did up the front lawn and install a nine hole golf course? Absolutely, Charlie, Harry and myself would love to play a round of putt-putt golf with you Billy Joe! No, I don’t think the kids should be a problem, as they’ll all probably be running round silly from the sugar high those Nabisco products give them.

And if we Hit one of them, well, just think of the story they’ll have for their lifetime. And besides, Y’all got good Health insurance, right?

FOUR!

What’s that El Presedente? You and Bianca have set up a charity for Special Needs Children, how kind of you. And donors can either choose (faux) Faberge egg tokens or (Fools) Gold Bunny statues…

Nah, there’s no way that shot will Hit that Champ Car, nice swing Billy Joe!

Yeah, that Dogleg near the Ballroom’s got a wicked hook to it! Uhm, Mr. Bradshaw, I found your Elitest No. 1 golf ball next to the Rose Garden…

That’s ok Billy Joe. Don’t worry, we’ll put a new mirror on Bryan’s (Boxer) racecar when we get back to the shop. Besides that’s His last year’s backup chassis…

FOUR!

Intrepid 91 year old Traveler returns to Eugene

But can you truly, really ever go Home?

What’s that ‘Ol Forest Gump saying ‘bout “Life’s A Bowl of Chocolates?”

As I “read” the following Register Guard, my nearest local newspaper I can listen to via my Newsline for The Blind’s telephone service, late Thursday evening. As the tears just rolled down my eyes!

The story’s about Peggy Starr, who at 91 years “young”, decided She’d had enough of Wisconsin’s miserably cold, snowy winters! And decided to move back “Home”, having lived in Eugene, Oregon some twenty years ago.

Ironically, on the very same day I went and “saw” the movie Crime 101. Which is an excellent movie, albeit probably out on Amazon Prime now?

There’s a scene in the movie driving thru some of Los Angeles Homeless areas, and how once of the characters used to be one of them…

While Peggy noted that the materialism and what we’ve become as a country thoroughly disappointed Her as She rolled across the Nation. Not to mention the landscape had totally changed…

But the part that choked me up, was here’s the 91 year old woman with three suitcases and Her walker getting off the train in Eugene with essentially no plan on where to go?

And the amazing humanity of complete strangers seeing Her, and offering to help unconditionally. Getting Peggy situated in a Motel 6 at a reduced Senior rate before this amazing family took Peggy in. Until She can hopefully get into Senior Housing.

If you’re not aware, there’s a total lack of Affordable Housing today! Not to mention Senior and Disable Housing, with most programs taking a minimum of one year to get in. And in many cases 2-3 years.

Knowing one woman who waited multiple years before finally being accepted. A second who waited multiple years before giving up, and a third who’s still waiting…

Not to mention how one has to be truly poor, not just barely making “Ends Meat” or living just above the artificially low poverty line.

And in Peggy’s case, Seniors need to not be too “Sharp” or with-it. In order to be fast-tracked into Assisted Living or Senior Housing, applicants need to be suffering from Alzheimer’s, Dementia, etc.

It’s a wonderful article about true life, which I recommend reading. And the article also includes the Go fund Me page set-up for Peggy, who’ve truly one of the lucky ones!

As I love Peggy’s gumption. Saying She hasn’t owned a television for 45 years, but that doesn’t mean She won’t watch it. Requesting to watch Gone With the Wind, before realizing it’s a four hours long movie. Saying Lordee!

Peggy Starr, 91, finds caring strangers in Eugene

I had one Helluva time finding a hyperlink to the story that would work “correctly”. Hence the USA Today article link instead. Since I couldn’t get The Register Guard to cooperate…

Earnhardt’s Lucky Penny

When pennies were still minted…

Today being some Holiday, where many kiss thee Blarney stone, what better way to celebrate, Eh?

This is about a lengthy, but great story I listened to via my NFB Newsline for The Blind telephone’s service’s ESPN Online Motorsports Headlines news section. With the “byline” saying written by Sam Borden, senior ESPN writer.

The story revolves around Wessa Miller, who suffers from Spinal Bifida, and fantastically has beaten the odds. By now being 34 years old, and still living!

You can already guess who Wessa’s favourite driver was. And at age six, She and a handful of other Make-A-Wish recipient’s were in a room waiting to meet the Intimidator, aka ‘Ol Ironhead, ergo Dale Earnhardt Sr. at Daytona International Speedway.

The year was 1998 and the “Man in Black” was having another awful year at Daytona. The one race He truly desired to win, frantically dealing with engine woes the day before the race!

Since in 20 years of trying, many nightmares had occurred. Including cutting a tyre on the last lap in 1990 and hitting a Seagull the following year!

As Earnhardt bent down to greet Wessa, the last child in the room. She handed Him a penny She was clutching in Her hand, with Dale saying what’s this? With the six year old girl saying it’s a lucky penny for you…

As I just love the image of Dale racing back to the shop, demanding some glue. Smearing glue all over Himself as the penny wouldn’t stick. Before ultimately being glued to the dashboard of His Richard Childress Racing No. 3 GM goodwrench/Bass Pro shops Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS.

Yep, some of you will already know that’s the year Earnhardt finally won his coveted Daytona 500…

As I highly recommend reading the article, as it’s a wonderful story! And I enjoyed reading about the Intimidator’s charity towards the Miller’s, behind the scenes. Along with everyone else’s generosity over the years…

How a Girl’s lucky penny fueled Earnhardt’s Daytona 500 win

Canamax seeks Justice while Traipsing the Globe

As where’s ‘Ol Sandy Duncan when Yuhs need her? And why did A little Dab will do Yuh spring to mind?

We last left off with Preston Henry Winchester III, the guiding force of the Canamax concern. Most notably the Armani Canamax Champ Car team having implored His hired counsel of Dumfries, Duquione and Duncan to enforce withering, punitive monetary damages against His nemesis’s scourge. Err championship winning driver Jonathan Truxbury!

Yet instead, Truxbury and arch rival Betuzi Motorsports, and more notably team owner Chester’ have run roughshod over the entire Champ Car field once again. This time seeing Truxbury win ten races enroute to His fourth title, or was it five? Since the BM Champ Car team was currently unstoppable…

Mr. Winchester, Gerrard Duncan’s on line three.

Yes Gerrard, I agree. We’ve got no other choice than to proceed with the litigation in the High court of Cornwall. Yes, I’ll be there for the proceedings…

Audrey, tell Roscoe Snow to please see me. And tell Hugo I need to see Him toot sweet! Yes Mr. Winchester, although Hugo’s at the Gym right now.

Hugo Marques was of average height for a former Champ Car driver. Barrell chested, with a clean shaven head, bushy black eyebrows, inquisitive brown eyes and a pugnacious nose.

As the former Iron Maiden 5000 winner had run His last race for the ever improving Armani Canamax racing team, albeit a loose wheel nut had caused Him to finish P27…

Winferd’, as many called Him collegially. Had initially hired Hugo to be the team’s Sporting Director, before elevating Him to the vacated Team Principal position. As Garret McCloud had left to spend more time in His vegetable garden.  Before joining the rival Champ car operation, now renamed as Torrez Waltrip McCloud Racing.

Hugo, a fitness fanatic, during His free time could be most likely found in the team’s state-of-the-art Gym doing one handed push-ups, usually in sets of 100!

Yes Boss, you wanted to see me. Yeah Hugo, I’ve got to go to Cornwall next week to sue the BeeGees’ out of that Fucking Truxbury! Meaning you’ll be in charge while I’m gone. As perhaps you can spend some QT’ with your protégé Bryan Boxer. Since finishing 23rd won’t cut it next year!

If you need to get ahold of me, have Audrey call me. No, don’t use your encrypted SpartoCuss account. As I hear Elroid’s got a bug up His tea kettle with Billy Jo Bradshaw and is monitoring it for any devious behaviour. Since Elroid’s still got the exclusive contract with Washington for His Neptune Satellite system. And tell Roscoe to come in.

Roscoe, I need you to contact your Dad Cletus for me again on your old fashioned Ham radio, Err CB. No, don’t worry, Thars nobody at the FCC these days to monitor your transmissions. Just tell Him to meet me at the Mockingbird Cafe again.

Yeah, I know its not located in Memphis where His favourite haunt Graceland’s at. But the Mockingbird does a mean Hushpuppies brunch. And there’s always leftovers for His Hoond Butch…

Audrey, have the jet pick me up in Charlotte. As I need to check in on our Sports Car Boyz’. Then to Italy to pick up the last of my hand sewn Georgio Armani four piece double breasted suits. Since I need to look sharp for court.

Hello Snowman, thanks for meeting me again Yes, I already ordered Butch His own plate of Hushpuppies…

Look, I need you to make a few deliveries for me. We had to take a bloodbath of Nabisco products, which doesn’t concern you. Well, we thought we had a deal as title sponsor with a certain Champ Car driver, Oh Never Mind!

Yeah, I know you’re strictly a Kenworth man. But we’re trying to keep this somewhat anonymous, even though our fearless leader’s favourite colour is gold. But you’ll be needing a refrigerator trailer for some of these errands. So we’ve leased you a 2024 artic white Cascadia sleeper cab.

Yes, its even got what I’m told is a super comfortable Murphy bed in the sleeper, with plenty of room for Butch…

Know you’ve got family in Bucksnort who work at the local Fireworks plant, but there’s no time for a visit Cletus.

You’ll find your Big rig waiting for you in Weehawken, loaded and ready to go. No the Port Authority won’t give you any trouble. As Wade Wetterly, Billy Jo’s Lieutenant General has already had His office contact them.

Ok, if you really need to know, we’re writing off a Shit, Err Shipload of Nabisco products. As I need you to take the truckload of Nutter butter, Mega Stuffed Oreos, Fudgebusters, Triple Double Neapolitan Oreos, Big Stuff Oreos, Rocky Road and Chunky Monkeyd Ice Cream to the Bradshaw’s vacation house. While His wife Bianca likes the Bite Size Oreos, Irish cream Ginger Snaps and Wheat Thins, I’m told…

Yep, you’ll head directly south to deliver all of these treats to Billy Jo’s Mullbury Manor in the Florida Keys. And make sure you keep Butch inside the cab, since I hear there’s Gators’ down Thar!

Nah, don’t worry about the Toll roads. I hear that ever since Billy Jo shut down the local mall in DC, and sent everybody home on Holiday. There shouldn’t be anybody to collect the Tolls…

But make sure you leave some of that El Speciale Fizzy water at Mullbury. As I hear that Wade’s a Cat person and Bianca’s feline only drinks bottled water. And make sure you keep it nicely refrigerated, say 45 degrees Fahrenheit?

Then I need you to drop off a couple of pallets of that Aqua Tyre Minerale at Homestead, where Hugo and the Armani Canamax Boyz’ should be giving Enrique Capelli an evaluation day’s testing. No, you let the team worry about what that gaseous mineral water’s for…

Next stop is the Gulf of Arkansas, even if it comes from Across the Border. And pick up a dozen live Blue Crabs.

Just pour some of that Aqua Tyre Minerale into a cooler and put it inside the Sleeper compartment. Hell, I don’t care what you feed ‘em. Although I hear they do enjoy Popeye’s Fried Chicken. Exactly, I’m sure Butch likes Popeye’s too!

As I promised my wife Jillian some fresh crabs for dinner, as She doesn’t like turkey…

Then up to Delaware. As Billy Jo should have shot His pet Turkeys by then! No way Fred and Barney are getting pardons this year. Although He’ll probably have His friend Cristina Nomeski over to take care of them!

No just leave the Crabs and freshly butchered turkeys with me. Our Chef knows what to do with them! As we’re having company over. Hell, we’re stuck hosting the team again, Shite!

And then take the truck back to Freightliner’s factory in Oregon. As it’s a good thing we’re using transportation built in America!

But just be careful in the Rose City. As I hear they’ve got Bearded women   in Flannel shirts trying to save the trees eating granola wanderin’ the streets up there!

Hell! Billy Jo’s sendin’ the Calvary to Portland! I hear that the Screamin Eagles, you know, the 82nd Airbourne’s gonna show those Tree Huggers what happens when they FAFO!

And then have somebody give you a lift to PDX, where you’ll find a first class seat booked for you and Butch to fly back to Indianapolis for dinner at our house. Yeah, your son Roscoe will be there too. And of course Butch is welcomed.

As we’re having Crab Cakes and Turkey for the main course, and plenty ‘O Coors beer too…

19B: No Fenders turns the late Justin Wilson’s Car number today

Long ago Justin Wilson “Hero” Card collected during the 2014 Sonoma IndyCar Driver’s Autograph session. (The Tomaso Collection)

With no disrespect towards James Jake, Ana Beatriz, Carlos Huertas or whomever else once presumably drove the #19 Dale Coyne Racing entry?

as the needle continuously skips upon the scratchy vinyl record on thoust turntable upon Nofendersville, Y’all know the drill…

As I hadn’t even contemplated it was the 10 year anniversary of Justin Big Unit Wilson’s passing when I began scribblin’ this. Ah, I love the smell ‘O synchronicity in the Morning! As IndyCar was racing at the Milwaukee Mile on the tenth anniversary of His Death…

Justin Wilson: 1978-2015

Or that Amazingly, your Humble No Fenders scribe Tomaso would still be labouriously poondin’ away at Ye ancient Selectric keyboard here at No Fenders! Still merrily creating fresh content for Y’all weekly consumption 19 Gory years later, Aye Karumba!

First ‘n foremost, like All the IndyCar drivers do. Its time to thank the Fans for perusing No Fenders and hopefully reading some of my Zany Blog posts the past 12 months, especially All four of my loyal readers! which are lovingly honed with a dull, rusty knife in Tomaso Manor whilst thoust waves crash upon the jagged coastline of Nofendersville Mateys, Shiver Me Timbers!

As why does that ‘Ol MacDougals slogan now serving (19 Million) here come to mind again, Hya!

Uhm, where to begin another year later, Eh? Suppose I’ll start with the low lying fruit, even though I’m feeling what’s that word Geddy? Oh yeah, Nihilistic over being in a Post IndyCar Season Funk…

As we all know, Alex Palou had a magical season this year, aiming for His ninth win of the season at Portland. Where once again I was passing thru via Amtrak on my way north to Warshington’. Before tuning into the race from one of Puget Sound's many Islands.

Meanwhile, thee Pinball Wizard’, nee Marc Marquez has systematically decimated the MotoGP grid this year! Having won eight times thru their summer break following Bruno in the Czech Republic, where Marquez secured His fifth consecutive win this season. Catapulting the Spaniard to second overall in career wins, surpassing the legendous’ Giacomo Agostini.

Whilst Denis Hauger has pretty much blitzed the Indy Lights, Err NXT field. Winning six times prior to Portland. His only blemish being the collision with Andretti Global teammate Lochi Hughes at Laguna Seca, seeing His points lead evaporate to 32 markers after leading by 93 Me Thinks…

Although Hauger secured both the Driver’s and Rookie of the Year Championships with a fine second place at Milwaukee.

this year in the life of Tomaso has just Zoom-Zoomed bye-bye again. As no Roger Waters put a log on the fire Jokes here, Hya!

Having felt fairly morose when beginning scribbling this. Since I’m forever trying to have new, fresh Blog content ready to upload on No Fenders, even if I promised myself I wouldn’t let Ye Blob’ consume me! Yet after 19 years, ifs become a piece of my daily fabric…

Now I could complain about RACER having wrecked its website with its redesign, which if you’ve been reading my eclectic scribbles, Yuhs know they’ve failed to follow WCAG 2.2 guidelines, the foundations of making Web Content Accessible for everyone, i.e.; Blind and Visually Impaired readers…

Trying to Follow IndyCar is a Hard Job

Or I could grumble about the insane scrutiny I experienced during my first flight post Open Heart surgery, where TSA didn’t give me the option of walking thru the metal detector on my own as in years past…

The Perks of being A Blind Traveler

Yet how can I righteously complain about any of these “First World” problems when my Government is complicit in the Deaths and Starvation of thousands of people in the Middle East! Where the figure of some 60,000, mainly Women and Children have been killed during this senseless Genocide!

Not to mention 373 people, including 134 children; as of September 5th, perishing from famine is incomprehensible! With a Famine just being officially declared, Shit!

VIDEO: “Be sure to Wear some Flowers in your Hair”

While our Pretender-in-chief Bombastically was busy playing golf in Scotland and presumably stuffing His face with Five Star meals. Not to mention the fabled G7 saying pass the gravy, when civilians were dying hourly from malnutrition! And those in power continue the practices of Colonization in their interests…

As what’s that ‘Ol U2 Rattle and Hum song where Bono says “Am I buggin’ you Man? I Don’t mean to bug You, play the Blues Edge!”

As the song Silver and Gold is about Apartheid in South Africa, for which currently is occurring in the Middle East! As I Don’t mean to Bug Yuhs…

“Imagine there’s No Countries

It isn’t Hard to do

Nothing to Kill or Die for

And No Religion too

Imagine All the People

Living for Today

Imagine No Possessions

I wonder if you Can

No need for Grief or Hunger

A Brotherhood of Man

Imagine All the People

Living life in Peace

You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one

I hope someday You’ll join Us

And the World will be as One”

For those still following along. Thanks to everyone visiting Nofendersville and reading my eclectic scribblings upon No Fenders All these years!

Since this Uber' eclectic mix 'N veritable Spin Cycle 'O finely honed Thomason' Tex-Mex Jambalaya of Wordsmithing wouldn't have been possible over thoust numerous seasons without All of the Usual suspects continued yearly support.

And like Melody Sheik brilliantly “Sings” in His Symphony of Science Masterpiece from over a Dozen years ago now. As it’ll be just plain weird not having DJ WillyP’ in His ubiquitous No. 12 Team Penske entry next year! But there’s Billions and Billions of Stars, and “We Are All connected”.

VIDEO: We Are All Connected

Whilst never fear Ladies and Germs’, Your Humble No Fenders Scribe Tomaso is planning on sticking round for awhile. Especially since I’ll be celebrating my milestone 20th Anniversary next September!

Arrivederci,

Tomaso
