Motorcycle Speed Record Broken by Blind Rider!

This amazing news was passed onto Mwah by Tacoma Bureau Chief Mary Ellen  who inquired recently: Did you hear about the blind motorcycle record breaker?

Not knowing what she was referring to I quickly set about inquiring upon thee A-L-L knowing INtrawoodz of which the search results revealed that 39yr old Stewart Gunn of Edinborough, Scotland, who's not only paralyzed but blind had just set the motorcycle speed record for this category!

As Gunn's an amazing person, who was almost killed by an errant driver who ended up breaking his back, several ribs and a shoulder when ironically riding his 'Scooter to a Pre-op exam for his shoulder, since he hadn't wanted to hassle with parking...

After being told he'd most likely never walk or ride again, Gunn set about proving doctors wrong, before further complications from his accident left him blind! But as I said, Gunn's got enormous grit &  determination, as I originally stumbled upon another not so nice story about him, which naturally I couldn't find when searching for it again...

the article I originally found with his name profiled him holding off a would-be robber who pulled a knife upon him by wielding his crutches and chasing him off his property just prior to Christmas last year; aye Karumba!

Yet this more in depth BBC article provides further detail to the extent of his injuries by his despicable assailant, which occurred in November when Gunn was expecting a visit from his local Post Office carrier, which fortunately didn't deter his passion to break the speed record...
