Maldonado lands at Lotus while F1 Engineers pack their Bags for other Destinations...

Although not overly surprising, albeit disappointing, as this *Keyboard Warrior* personally hoped for the services of thee Incredible Hulk, nee Nico Hulkenberg to land the second Lotus F1 seat up for grabs, Lotus has now instead opted for the vast cash reserves of Pastor Maldonado and his Venezuelan PDVSA Oil money instead to partner the promising Romain Grosjean next year...

Meanwhile some key engineering moves have taken place - as typical after the long F1 season begins winding down, as long predicted, Ross Brawn has turned in his resignation letter to Mercedes, effective Dec 31, with no word on his future plans.

Team Willy (Williams) continues bolstering its engineering ranks with the key additions of Rob Smedley, Felipe Massa's longtime Scuderia Ferrari Race Engineer accepting the role of Chief Race Engineer, whilst Jakob Andreasen, ex-Jenson Button Race Engineer has accepted a factory role job at Grove, with former x Chief Race Engineer Xevi Pujolarreportedly heading   off to Scuderia Toro Rosso. But don't expect to hear the soothing tones of Smedley's voice over Massa's in-car radio as he'll now be responsible for both cars.

And finally Sauber's Head of Track Engineering Tom McCullough will leave the Swiss based team to return to a UK based Formula 1 squad instead, with rumors of it being Force India, set to join the likely driving pairing of Hulkenberg and 'Checka, aka Sergio Perez in 2014 while Adrian sutil seems destined for  employment at Sauber, with NO word upon Esteban Gutierrez retaining his seat, as there's been rumors of the Mexican driver moving to Marussia? Which would leave Max Chilton on the driver market, amongst others including Sweden's Marcus Eriksson - which after all, is why they call I-T Silly Season...
