IMSA: Sweeping Changes continue at Ganassi

Buried in A-L-L the nauseating Hoopla over Kyle Busch's NASCAR championship on Speed Freaks, was the 'lil nugget over the ending of one of Sports Cars storied partnerships...

Was very surprised to hear the Freaks Crash Gladys mention during a recent Pit News & Notes segment that Scotty' "Scooter" Pruett, longtime lead Gunslinger for thee 'Cheepster, nee Chip Ganassi has left for part-time Endurance race co-driver duty at Action Express.

As Pruett has been a mainstay of Ganassi's perennial championship winning Sports Car teams since winning the first of his five Daytona Prototype championships for Ganassi in '04, then four years later before a Hat-trick between 2010-12!

Pruett's currently tied with the legendous' Hurley Haywood for most overall Rolex 24 victories, both having collected five Rolex chronographs apiece, As surely part of Scott's decision to move onto the two-time Rolex 24 winning entry is geared in hopes of collecting his sixth watch.

sically Pruett and le 'Hamburgular, nee Sebastain Bourdais have swapped seats, albeit the announcement of Sea Basses arrival at Chip Ganassi Racing hadn't been formally announced prior to being leaked on the Roar Before the Rolex 24 test outing's entry list for Jan 8-10...

Meanwhile, Ganassi made official its 2016 Ford GTLe Mans class driver line-up, for which I'm most happy for Ryan Briscoe, who's definitely one class act who I'll miss in Indy Cars, although NO idea if he could do a "One-off" for the forthcoming 100th, eh? As Briscoe will co-drive the No. 67 with Richard Westbrook. Whilst the No. 66 will be piloted by Joey Hand and
Dirk Muller.
