Where will NielsenHo go?

Yeah, I was desperate for ‘Somme racin’ action on le Telie the other night, seeing how the Motegi IndyCar race wouldn’t start for another 24hrs and wrap-up potentially very early the next morning...

Thus, I managed to sit thru nearly 86% of the Friday night ‘Pick-em-Up Trucks race from Joliette, Illinois’s Chicagoland circuit - where the Indy Cars once used to race... Although with a balmy? 54deg-f temperature reported, the Indy Car Series mightah been happy to be Overseas instead, albeit I read it was 90deg-f with 90% Humidity there Friday; but I digress...

As I largely tune into the Pick ‘em Up races to see how the various NON ‘RASSCAR BOYZ are doin’ vs. their Good ‘Ol Boy competitors, i.e.; two Brazilian’s, one Italian, one ‘KuhNuck and one ex-Supercross Great... Nelson Piquet Jr., Miguel Paludo, ‘MAD MAX, (Papis) Steve Arpin and Ricky Carmichael respectively - as I’ll haveda admit I’d never heard of either Paludo or Arpin; who won his maiden NCWTS Pole position Friday...

And it’s funny how Paludo seemingly was getting higher praise for his better credentials winning-wise over Piquet? As Paludo’s crowning achievement to date is becoming the first ‘BraZill-yun to win the Porsche GT3 Cup crown consecutively. (2008-09) while Piquet had a career best second place finish in the ’08 Formula 1 race at Hockenheim. Along with finishing runner-up in the ’06 GP2 championship to Lewis Hamilton, Plus a victory in his GP2 debut season... (2005) NielsenHo also took titles in Formula 3 South America (2002) and became the youngest ever winner of the British Formula 3 Championship in his Sophomore season, (2004) preceded by six-wins in his debut campaign the year  prior...

Yet unfortunately Piquet Jr. is probably most renown for his dubious role in ‘CrashGate - when Renault F1 Team Boss Flavour Flav (Flavio Briatore) ordered the young Brazilian to purposely crash in an area of the Singapore street race’s track not covered by a crane - hence forcing a Safety Car to be deployed and enabling “Ferdi-the-Putz” (F. Alonso) to score a much needed victory for la ‘Reggie who’d gone winless in nearly two years...

But back to the Trucks where Nielsen Pickett ran a stout race all night long, continuously lurking in the Top-five, even leading during a Pitstop sequence before taking part in a mighty ‘Scrum towards the end of the race. When a Battle Royale ensued between CUP regulars Kyle ‘ROWDY Busch ‘N Kevin ‘SILVER HAMMER Harvick for second place with Pickett Junior trying to take the runner-up spot away from Busch! Which I kept wonderin’ why doesn’t he getz behind his BOSSES Harvick’s truck??? As Harvick finally succeeded into taking over second place, albeit too late to catch winner Austin “Tank Gawd I’m a Country Boy!” Dillon, with Pickett capturing third... As this marks Nielsen’s second-best result of the season, behind his runner-up finish at Nashville.

So, why all of duh Pick ‘em Up blather? Whale in case Y’all haven’t heard - KHI (Kevin Harvick Inc.) has announced it’ll cease its Trucks operation at the end of the season, potentially leaving Two-time Series Champion Ron Hornaday and Nelson Piquet Jr. unemployed next season. As it’d be nice to see KBM (Kyle Busch Motorsports) pick-up the services of the promising ex-formula 1 Brazilian - which should fair far better then the Kimi ‘N his OOMPHLAATZ (Räikkönen) experiment, eh? As rumours claim THE ORIGINAL ICEMAN has been spotted being shown ‘round the Williams F1 base in Grove by Team Willy president  Adam Paar recently. Although obviously I have NO idea where NielsenHo will land next year...
