What Better Way to Celebrate Art Pollard Day than by Going IndyCar Racing

Even if the thought of Mother Speedway Draping itself around the Grands Prix motif for an IndyCar Road Race makes me simply Scratch my Head...

Today, 45 years ago, Art Pollard lost his life during a qualifying attempt for the Ill-fated 1973 Indianapolis 500. For which it was George Phillips,  the Elder Statesman of IndyCar Bloggers who introduced me to him posthumously several years ago. For which I was simply amazed over Art's Off the Track efforts with Handicapped Children, not to mention his  overall good nature.
