INDY 500: Tres Legenditos' - 2013 IMS Legends Day Outing...

Will Mother Speedway join the madness, a la the NCAA during the recent Final Four in Indianapolis joining the Dog & Pony show - sweeping Racetracks nation-wide with a Ferris Wheel of its own over Memorial Day  weekend as another of its newest attractions? (The Tomaso Collection)
As I've previously noted, for Mwah, the Legends Day autograph session is probably my favourite  part of the entire Indy 500 weekend! Which I've scribbled 'bout in;

2013 LEGENDS DAY FLASHBACK
ITS A-L-L GONE NOW...

Obviously, nearly some 730-days having passed by now, I only remember snippets of meeting the 21 former Indy 500 Drivers Saturday, May 25, 2013, especially since skipping last year's event.

As Max Papis is the only driver I can find any notes scribbled 'bout, with Billy Roe, Tyce Carlson, Bob Lazier coming to mind, whilst I know I scribbled 'bout thee Brackster' being in fine form along with enquiring to "double-D," aka Derek Daly "What's a Chin-wag?" Hooah!

Asked Mad Max if he still wears his red gloves - to which he said in his Italian brogue: ALWAYS! Red Gloves Rule! As Papis was probably the smartest driver of the day? As he not only promptly signed my program, chatted with me, but also handed me an autographed card of his current 'RASSCAR ride... Talk about self-promotion, eh?

Stumbled across this quite awhile ago, whilst doing my daily perusal of The Guardian's Sport section via my NFB Newsline for The Blind telephone service. As it regales a long ago event I wasn't privy to, simply known as Piquet v Salazar, when the hapless  Chilean punted off Brazilian F1 world champion at the 1982 German Grand Prix!

Or Y'all can watch the very short video of  said accident in; VIDEO: 1982 German Grand PrixShunt
