INDYCAR: When Bad Racing turns Ugly!

Otay, it'd be easy to jump on the Bandwagon regarding how the anticipation of IndyCar finally going racing after a STUPENDOUSLY L-O-N-G Off-season of Seven RIDICULOUS months did little to appease my thirst for Indy Cars, especially as the influx 'O repeated Yellow flags for the "Festival 'O Carbon Fibre" left the race feeling disjointed at best...

Since for Mwah, the best race of the weekend was of two wheeled variety, a la MotoGP's epic thriller in Qatar followed by the F1 race in Malaysia...

As I won't continue Bashing IndyCar over what  was a pretty Ho-Hum race, as a member of les Miserables, since after all, that's how we A-L-L felt collectively after the season opening Formula 1 race in Australia - and look how they bounced back in Malaysia.

Yet, I was extremely discouraged to read via 'Curty Cavin that an unsuspecting female Fan was struck in the head by a piece of flying debris at  St Pete at a concession stand no less! As that just AIN'T gonna cut I-T IndyCar! As may be the million-plus variations  of carbon fibre front wing assemblies isn't the way to  go after all!

With one fan actually being struck, another reporting parts jumping thru the catch-fencing and I'd say we're lucky we didn't have another Charlotte on our hands! As may be Aerokits aren't the  way to improve IndyCar racing after all? And that's before even getting into the apparent possibility of needing power steering to enable drivers to manhandle these chassis round corners...
