IMSA: Panoz Tribute at Petit'

Although I failed to scribble anything about the late Don Panoz, who took the Chequered Flag recently at Age 83. Fittingly, IMSA will pay Homage to their past Mentor, Dr. Donald Panoz who created the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) which ultimately helped revive Sports Car racing Stateside. After taking over the reins from the short lived Professional Sports Car Racing (PSCR) series previously owned by Andy Evans.

Ironically, whilst searchin' round for something on the GTR-1, I found the following video where Messer Panoz notes how past Scandia Racing Boss Andy Evans wanted to know what type 'O G-DAMN' car was holding up his Ferrari during testing at Sebring; Momma Mia!

Even better yet, MAGS' and Johnny O', aka Jan Magnussen and Johnny O'Connell will each pilot one of Don Panoz's racing legends, the GTR-1 and Delta Wing respectively this weekend in tribute to Mr. Panoz.

Whilst Y'all may wish to check out the Racer Magazine Gallery of Panoz racing machinery below...
