INDYCAR: Two of its Legends share their Opinions of Sport while a third Hopes to join them...

As recently enjoyed listening to two "Canned" interviews on Speed Freaks, since they seemed to be played a few weeks out of sequence? As The Freaks talked to SuperMario 'N Lonestar JR on the evening following the Saturday Nite fracas at Texas Motor Speedway, Y'all know when only nine of the 22 Indy Cars entered finished the race!

As both of these legendous' Indy 500 champions, Mario Andretti and Johnny Rutherford had plenty to say, as typical.

Naturally both drivers touched upon that guy, uze know, the sophisticated Spaniard who's won a couple 'O Formula 1 world championships named Fredrico Suave. When Fernando came to Americre', as in the one 'N only Fernando Alonso!

Interestingly, both men talked about family, with Mario talking about his Poppa, whilst sadly, JR let it be known his wife Betty suffers from Dementia. Noting how it's a real nasty disease and he only wished she could see the culmination of her efforts towards empowering women in motorsports now.

Meanwhile, a third Indy legend, albeit perhaps of different stature? Is hoping to emulate the likes of Mario and Johnny. As 1996 Indy 500 winner Buddy Lazier hopes to join them by one day making the Lazier name an Household entity, when hopefully finding their way into victory lane once again at Mother Speedway...
