Spain's first F1 woman Maria de Villota has died suddenly at the age of 33 last Friday while in Spain to present her book Life is a Gift at a conference since cancelled due to her totally unexpected death.

You may recall that de Villota was seriously injured over one year ago when performing her very first straight-line Aero test for the Marussia F1 team where she unexpectedly careened into the tailgate of a support truck during the test and ultimately lost her right eye, hence effectively curtailing her Formula 1 aspirations...

As unfortunately it appears that Maria's sudden death from natural causes could be a lingering bi-product of her head injuries from said F1 testing accident...
