Schmidt hires 'Rooskie for his IndyCar team...

This seems a bit out of left field, especially since your humble No Fenders scribe is still somewhat awash in F1 Fever after having just returned from Austin, Texas, and hence, it's somewhat funny that top level motor racing is suddenly awash in 'Rooskie drivers with the advent of two Russian newbies invading Formula 1: Daniil Kvyat

(Scuderia toro Rosso) and Sergey Sirotkin, (Sauber) albeit I think the latter has still yet failed to secure his coveted FIA Superlicense.

And now a further Russian is coming abroad with the announcement of Sam Schmidt's Schmidt Peterson Racing having inked 2010 WSR 3.5 champion Mikhail Aleshin to partner  Simon Pagenaud...
