FAST EDDIE on the Move

And as I finished my Silly Season story (below) and then began making another sweep of ze Internetz - DAMN YOU ‘DAWG! I noticed Pressdog had a piece up ‘bout Fast Eddie (Carpenter) starting his own IndyCar race team for next year; WTF?

Thus, as I know how much of an ED supporter (and Sarah Fisher) supporter Pressdog is; Hmm? Is this just some more of his fanciful writing in hopes of Ed landing a ride next year? But the story seems legit, albeit I won’t be attending the press briefing today - as I’ve got other CRAP to do, so I’ll not get to hear the particulars - if any are divulged?

Yet with Larry and (son) Matt Curry having just been fired from Dreyer & Reinbold Racing; I’ll be SHOCKED if the pair doesn’t end up on the ECR Payroll next year, as after all I believe it’s really Tony’s team, as in Tony George...

Have NO idea on where they’ll be based, since Sam Schmidt Motorsports (SSM) moved into the former Vision Racing haunt one year ago, as I seem to think that Sarah Fisher Racing (SFR) is in the ex-Marty Roth shop, so I’ll be interested to learn where Ed Carpenter Racing winds up at, while I have NO idea on whether or not TG kept his shiny Transporter(s) or sold them off to Schmidt or someone else?

And may be PR extraordinaire Pat Capperali can be lured back into the fold? As I think somebody said she’s available right now? While I’m also guessing they’ll be running Chebbies (Chevrolet) next year.

And this is good news for IndyCar, as they’ll now have two brand new teams next year, with Michael Shank Racing (MSR) already having been announced; while I’m certainly hoping that SFR can remain a part-time team next year with either Tomas “Rockem-sockem” Scheckter or Buddy ‘HotRod Rice?

And there’s still the unknown entities of Dragon Racing and AFS, not to mention what Bryan Herta’s up to?
