F1 Engine builder Brian Hart Passes away...

Was sad to see the news that Brian Hart had passed away at the age of 77 recently, as I've always had an affinity for Messer Hart who tried valiantly building his own F1 'lumps as a very small privateer effort, as I can only imagine what would of happened if Hart had had the might of factory support behind his 'lil 1.5-liter Hart 415T turbo lump that competed against the onslaught of Honda, Porsche and Ferrari during the 1980's, as the Toleman team was trying to do things unconventionally as Hart's engines always did their best, with the zenith being Ayrton Senna's second place finish in the rain in Monaco in 1984...

Hart would go onto develop a V-10 naturally aspirated engine for the plucky Irishman EJ', aka Eddie Jordan with the engines bearing fruit for the team in the second year of the engine contract (1993-94) with Rubens Barrichello finishing on the podium and scoring a pole in those Sasol-liveried Jordan-Hart's...

Gary Anderson:
There was nothing in the world as satisfying for Brian Hart and myself as taking on the Big Boys who had 10 times the budget and showing them up on Sunday Afternoon!"
