Got the news yesterday afternoon, that Dennis
Reinbold, Indianapolis 500 and IndyCar team owner had died at age 65.
Know from my numerous visits to Indianapolis,
and countless hours listening to IndyCar Radio. I’ve heard Dennis more than
once pitching His vast network of Automobile dealerships wares.
As Dreyer & Reinbold Racing (DRR) started
racing in the Indy Racing League (IRL) in 2000, when the team won it’s one and
only race to date. The season opening round at Walt Disney World Speedway with
driver Robbie buhl.
As this year’s DRR Indy 500 only entry featured
cars for Conor Daly and Jack Harvey, with Harvey’s strategist being Davey
Hamilton for the second year in-a-row.
