As the Sports Car team with the smallest motor
keeps chuggin' into Victory lane...
Who said Thar wasn't any significant Motor Racing
this past weekend, RASSCAR' excluded. As the IMSA Weathertech SportsCar
Championship made it's one 'N only yearly trek across thou Border to Thee Great
White North, nee Oh KanaDuh's Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, (CTMP) which will
forever be known as Trois-Rivières
to Mwah. Whilst once again, I delighted in listening to
Der Heindenmeier', nee John Hindhaugh, Jeremy Shaw and Pitlane Reporter Shea
Adam call the race via Zed Internetz'...
Which for the second week in-a-row, the Mazda
RT24P's Took No Prisoners en route to another mighty 1-2 finish, albeit this
time it was the No. 77 leading the #55 past the Chequered Flag, with Shea Adam
congratulating Tristan Nunez on standing atop the Podium for the first time in
2,136 Days; Aye Karumba!
Yet the race was Overshadowed by the Uber
Scary Accident suffered by Victor Franzoni behind the wheel of the No. 50
Juncos Racing Cadillac VR DPi, losing control during a late race restart,
rolling the Caddy' onto its side in a massive Shunt Driver's Side Cockpit into
the Tyre Barrier! For which Thankfully Franzoni escaped uninjured.
Whilst Mazda Motorsports Director John Doonan
rightly Deserves every bit of Admiration & Accolades he's been receiving
the past two weeks over Mazda's triumphs after persevering for how many years
in Sports Cars? As Doonan's a true Class Act, which he typified in his latest victory
speech at CTMP by immediately acknowledging Victor Franzoni was in their
thoughts, since the ex-Indy Lights Brazilian Driver was part of the extended
Mazda Family.
Before giving a Shout-out to Shabral
