Females Racing in Men's World...

Can Y'all imagine 'RASSCAR without Princess Danica? Or Thy Leggy Juan' (Katherine Legge) co-driving that Bad Arse Michael Shank Racing Acura NSX in IMSA Sports Car competition. And don't forget reigning IMSA GTD Class Champion Christina Nielsen or Aussie V8 Supercars racer "Symona-Symona. (Simona de Silvestro)

Really not even sure why this is a topic of interest right now? Since after all, we're in the 21st Century, right? Other than Y'all probably have heard the Buffoonish words of John McEnroe recently denigrating female tennis players, and specifically Serena Williams, for which I won't even bother repeating his stupidness, other than interesting how he's got a book out right now...

As the ridiculousness of this subject matter first caught my Attenzione when the Indianapolis Star's Motorsports Insider Jim Aello wrote about Mann's plight.

As Indy Cars sole female racer at this year's Indy 500 rightly pointed out the absurdity of a European entity trying to establish a Females Only racing league, to which Pippa Mann promptly implored it's regressive intentions of returning women to the 19th Century.

As it's sad to think that such notions exist, making Y'all wonder just what was the point of Janet Guthrie "Breaking The Glass Ceiling" at Indianapolis forty years ago? When she became the first female to successfully race in the Indy 500.

Not to mention what has Lyn St James devoted much of her life to? Besides being the male dominated Open Wheel Racing Sport's second female racer at Mother Speedway, along with her Women In Racing initiative.

Yet with summer having arrived early in Seattle, along with being Uber busy, I really haven't thought about it further, until listening to a recent episode of Speed Freaks, who featured Chanterria McGilbra
, the Founder & CEO of Prancing Ponies', which was a most invigorating Chinwag' about La Femmes trying to empower young females to succeed in life.

As Prancing Ponies Foundation seeks to offer young women having graduated High School scholarship opportunities to live abroad during summer before they enter college, to expose them to International travel and world culture. As currently four scholarship winners are living in France.

Chanterria mentioned how Prancing Ponies was the first organization to host an all female Ferrari Rally in 2016, with this year's Rally taking place on August 4th from Milan to Monaco.

Along with being the first ever to host a women's Car Show at Pebble Beach this August during the Monterey Historics; Err Motorsports Reunion weekend.

As the Car Show will Kick off the Pebble Beach Concours de Elegance weekend on August 16th from 1-5PM in Carmel, CA.

As you can get an idea of what Chanterria hopes to do with her Prancing Ponies Foundation, how it got started, and how she acquired her Scuderia Ferrari 458 Spyder! By checking out the story below...

And if you're in Carmel in mid August, and lucky enough to find yourself able to visit Pebble Beach, then check out the Car Show! Or Y'all can visit their website at: Prancing Ponies
