Prior to this year's Roar Before Daytona, Jan 9-11 I wasn't sure if Team Seattle would be racing in this year's Rolex 24, so I fired off an email inquiry to Don Kitch, who's featured briefly in that great book The Art of Racing in the Rain, which I scribbled bout in;
And I promptly received a reply back from Donna telling me they were indeed good to go and the website should be updated shortly. As Team Seattle has raised funds for Seattle's Childrens Hospital for over ten years now, for which Y'all can check out their website at;
Thus, whilst purusing the finally published (Jan 5) entry list for this year's Roar Before and Rolex 24, I not only discovered that Team Seattle's once again affiliated with Alex Job Racing, aboard their traditional No. 23, in a Porsche 911, but also Bellevue based Parkplace Motors will be running a single Porsche 911, the #73.
So keep an eye out for these two Pacific Northwest teams Panzerwagon's in the GT Daytona class, as may be even one of them will be on this year's podium...
GO TEAM SEATTLE!
