Toyota’s melting pot?

According to published reports, RASSCAR’s current BAD BOY Kyle “Shrub” Busch has announced that he will test a Toyota F1 racing car in Japan later this year and would like to potentially race in Formula 1 before he’s 30.

Busch who’s currently 23yr’s old, drives the M & M’s Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing and is known to prefer the regular black M ‘N M’s, although he also enjoys the NUTS type too…

But inquiring minds want to know if his hands will slip off of the steering wheel, even though the candy manufacturer claims that they melt in your mouth, NOT in your hands!

  1. MeThinks the boy has gobbled too many peanut clusters and has gone off the deep end.

Busch notes any possible F1 test would be at Motegi a Honda owned and operated track.

Fat chance I say considering he drives a Toyota stock car. And I would think the reverse would also be true, Honda wouldn't give a Toy driver an F1 Honda test on their home track.

Here's my take, I believe he and Toyota will in fact ship a Camry car to Motegi and Busch will do a exhibition run.

    Why Motegi?

Because they run a fan driver thing there like the Petty Experience in the States.

It would be a good promo for Motegi to have one of the hottest stock car drivers there in cars nearly identical to those fans can strap into.

For that they would forgive the Honda/Toyota conflict, but for F1 test I think not, but I could be wrong.

As a side note, and based on my seven years there, Motegi has an almost cult-like group of dedicated fans that spend thousands of dollars per year driving the stockers at Motegi and also the 600hp winged sprint cars they rent out to run the dirt track that is on the property.

  2. Very well said! Didn't know that they had announced testing venues for said publicity stunt, but if Motegi is the place then you've got a very valid point about Honda...

Did you catch Scott "NOSE" Speed's comments towards Shrubb trying' his hand at F1 on Wind Tunnel?
